Dansei is the longest-running gay men's sauna in Guatemala City, open since around 2011 at 3a Avenida 10-14 in Zona 1, the historic centre (some listings show a Zona 2 address; the entrance is on 3a Avenida). It is a compact, well-kept spa para caballeros: dry sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, dark room, private cabins, lockers, a small bar serving snacks, and massage and waxing by appointment. Google reviews from spring 2025 praise the renovated, very clean facilities and friendly staff. Directories list hours between 11:00 and 20:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 at weekends; the venue itself describes 13:00 to 20:00, so plan for a 13:00 to 20:00 window and message WhatsApp 4105 4530 first. Cover is about Q80 including towel and locker, cash preferred. Themed days rotate through the week (a midweek nudist day and early-afternoon open-bar windows are regular features), announced on the venue's own social channels. The crowd is local, mostly Spanish-speaking and relaxed; weekday afternoons are steady and the themed days fill up. Zona 1 is busy by day and much emptier after dark, so take an Uber to the door and back rather than walking at night, keep valuables in the locker and carry only the cash you need. Towel on in corridors, no phones in the wet areas, condoms available at the bar.
