Edgewater Park

Edgewater Park, part of the Cleveland Metroparks along the Lake Erie shoreline in the Detroit-Shoreway/Edgewater area, has a long-standing reputation as one of the city's best-known outdoor gay cruising spots, documented since the 1970s. Activity has historically centered on the wooded areas and the shoreline near the upper and lower park. As a public park it is patrolled by park rangers, so discretion is essential and activity is tolerated rather than official. Visit during daylight, keep to public areas, and be aware that Ohio law applies. The park itself is a popular, welcoming lakefront green space with beach access and sunset views over downtown Cleveland.
