Visited on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in March. The park was clean and spacious with great views of Lake Erie, plus easy access to the pier, beach, picnic areas, and a large pavilion. The only downside was the restrooms—the buildings were closed and the porta-johns were extremely dirty and nearly unusable. Otherwise, a great place to visit and highly recommended.

I have been here in the middle of the winter and walked out onto the ice, and I have been here in the summer as well. This time, it was an unseasonably warm Sunday in October. People were swimming, sunning on the beach, picnicking, flying kites, and even parasailing. The views of downtown and Lake Erie are beautiful. My favorite thing is that it is a real mix of people. Different ages and backgrounds. We heard several languages and everyone was getting along. Definitely recommend this no matter the weather.

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 6 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the trail. The parking lot was huge and there were plenty of places to park. We opted to walk the Edgewater Beach Trail, which was a roughly 1.4 mile loop around the park. The trail was relatively easy and consisted of walking on a flat paved or dirt surface for a majority of the walk. The trail mostly took us through a forest, with occasional views of Lake Erie. On the way back, we opted to walk through the sand. The beach was closed on the day that we went due to sewage water overflow. Near the main entrance were several concession stands, along with restrooms and several picnic tables. Tip: I recommend spending 45 minutes here (longer if you want to spend more time swimming and doing beach activities).

While in the area we wanted to visit the lake and check it out, so we came here. This is a nice park with a decent pier to walk out on. Great views of Lake Erie and the lighthouse nearby. The park is large with many different areas and plenty of places for picnicking. The various park areas are connected via walking trails and roads, as well as offering plenty of parking. Looks like a great place for a picnic during nice weather!

Really enjoyed our visit to Edgewater Park over the Labor Day weekend. It wasn’t too crowded, so getting one of those classic photos of the famous “Cleveland” script sign in front of Lake Erie with the Cleveland skyline as backdrop didn’t take long. Later we walked down to one of the beaches (the dog beach for Cherry Wonderdog), where just a few dogs wandered to and hither. We didn’t swim, but we did have a great time searching for (and finding) beach glass. There was ample sun protection from tall trees behind the beach for those choosing to indulge in a good novel. Our tranquil stay was embellished by a hang-glider who flew back and forth along the beach at low altitude. Very special!

We came upon this Park, during our exploration of the Lake Erie shoreline. Being Labor Day (with a National Air Show in progress, unbeknownst to us originally), however; access was no longer allowed when we passed by. Fortunately, we happenstanced upon Cliff Dr.; and were afforded the opportunity to stop above the Park, and immerse in the magnificent views of the Lake, coastline and downtown Cleveland. We certainly came to understand why this location is such an asset, for inhabitants and visitors, to enjoy the beauty of the area's natural and man-made splendor.

Easy, chill spot to go hang out in Cleveland. it is a ways north, but if you want to relax for a bit and they take a swing on a huge chair swing, this is the place to do it.

Great place to dip your hand or toes in Lake Erie for a Great Lakes checklist. We walked down a pier for photos, strolled the concrete path for awhile, and watched families picnic in the expansive park area…all clean and safe and beautiful. Then, we drove around the curve to the west to see the Cleveland sign for totally unexpected city skyline views plus this other stellar surprise!

Good location, very nice, clean kid playing area. The beach area is good with rinse off station and restroom for changing, foods, except the water is not clean, it seem to have a lot of decomposed tiny stuff from tree, leaf or something not trash in the water and wash up, not sure if this is year round condition or just during my visit in middle of July. It would be a wonderfull beach to swim, relax and play if the water is clean. Definitely not good when accidentally swallow the water.

Edgewater is so nice, we were at the dog beach end , clean sand , some beach glass found, would be nice to have a bathroom on the dog beach end , friendly people and staff. The pavilion has food, seating , swings, very pretty view and a view of Cleveland , tons of parking
