Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston by IHG

I do not know what people are talking about here on the reviews of this place but a couple weeks ago now it’s been a few weeks, but we stayed here in Evanston and the rooms were very clean. Smelled great. The carpets looked good. The bathroom was clean. everything looked and ship shape so well whoever said that they had bedbugs is a liar. They do not because I checked my husband checked in our friend checked and there was none to be seen. There wasn’t even a crumbs of dust on the floor so come here. Good pricing good people good employees not bad breakfast options.

Great staff and location. Rooms are nice but could use a little refresh. I would stay here again!

The good: so so walkable to train and restaurants, comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood, washer/dryer facility, mini store inside. The bad: Beware of front desk staff member, Cameron. He was rude to my partner & I on more than 1 occasion. Someone from front desk slid a “receipt” for a few bottles of water we had purchased at their mini store under our door during our stay, but we had visited the mini store several times after and never received receipts for those visits. And the waters weren’t charged to our room, they were charged to a separate card… seemed passive aggressive and unorganized to be sending weird paper copies to the room.

BE AWARE! We stayed at this hotel during Northwestern’s wildcats day, and unfortunately, our experience after checkout was very disappointing. We accidentally left a pair of prescription glasses in the room, and I called the hotel same day to report it. For three consecutive days, I followed up daily, and each time I was told they were still checking. After all that, I was finally told that the glasses were not found. I am 100% certain they were left in the room, which makes this situation very frustrating. I understand that things can be misplaced, but the lack of timely and clear communication, along with the outcome, is very disappointing. I expected better handling of a lost and found situation, especially for something as important as prescription glasses. I hope the hotel improves its lost and found process and accountability for future guests.

First class service with great location to downtown Evanston. The only negative is noise from the trains.

I recently stayed at this location and had a great experience. I arrived early, and Marissa along with the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating—they were able to check me in quickly under my IHG account. The hotel was clean, and the staff provided exceptional service throughout my stay. The location is also very convenient, especially if you need to make quick store runs. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely choose to stay here.
