Five stars for a Jerusalem experience that is hard to find these days. We arrived at Katy’s on a Thursday evening. The food was delicious — especially the duck in currant sauce — but what really made the evening special was Katy herself. Katy is the heart and soul of the place. She sat with us for a large part of the evening, telling stories, taking an interest, and sharing stories from the restaurant and life with us. The cook who has been with her for years is still with her, and on the walls are pictures that tell how much this place was a part of Jerusalem in the past, including pictures with Teddy Kollek and familiar guests who have passed through here over the years. And maybe that’s part of the charm of the story: an independent woman who opened a French restaurant in Jerusalem decades ago, not kosher, who worked and still works on Friday nights — at a time when that was certainly much less obvious. This is not a restaurant that tries to be the new and trendy thing in town. It’s a place with character, history, and, above all, a homeowner who is hard not to get attached to. My partner left impressed with Kati and said everything was delicious; I left mostly happy that we got to know her and hear a bit of her story. Highly recommended for those looking for not just food, but a place with soul.

A place that is a gem in Jerusalem, with uniqueness and old-fashioned style. It really feels like we were staying at Kati's house, and we ate really, really delicious food! Pleasant conversation, wholehearted service and a different experience

unique place. Possibly the only remaining old school high end French cuisine establishment in Israel. Katy’s was frequented by several past Prime Ministers. It’s an experience. Very pricey but definitely worth it
