TownePlace Suites by Marriott Provo Orem

1st off since when does Marriott front desk personel sit at the counter feet proped up on the counter munching on candy. Not very good customer service. Then i went to pay for the room using a bonvoy gift card and she tells me she cant take that as payment only the manager can but she would leave a note so the next day they would not run the credit card on file but would run the gift card. So next day when i checked out i asked them to use the gift card and was told normally you use that when you check in. I explained what the the front desk told me the day before. He went ahead and ran the gift card for the amount and told me they had also ran my credit card after the front desk clerk had specifcally told me it would not be ran. So now i wait up to 3 buisness days to make sure im refunded. I have always loved staying at Marriotts but this one needs some help. It also needs some good cleaning as there is a smell in the rooms i dont know if it is something sprayed to cover up odors but it stinks.

A special thank you to Jill at the front desk. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, and she made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Her warm personality and great customer service really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you, Jill, and the entire Marriott team for a great experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

A great place to stay!

While this is a 3 star hotel, I had to give a 5 star review. Andrea, the housekeeper, does a phenomenal job at keeping all the common areas shining. The room equipped for dogs was much appreciated. We had a first floor room, and it couldn't be easier to take the dogs out for a walk. Lots of grassy areas outside. The pool area was quite nice. And the breakfast area was one of the best kept dining areas I've ever been in. Jill is the receptionist, and she does a great job.

my room was infested with Ants , the room had crumbs allover. dirty counters, dirty floors , hair all over , mirror was dirty bedding had white stains and other stains allover , in the corners were dust bunnies , crumbs, just gross. toilet wouldn't flush, broken fridge , no freezer , when asking for a new room I was told "there is nothing we can do .. sorry . " I'm a platinum account holder and it made no difference. this motel has no elevator. terrible staff who does not wAnt to help in anyway .

Great location right next to I-15. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of variety.

MOLD. STINK. STILL THERE JUNE 2026. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We left a night early. You couldn't pay me to stay longer. The staff is clearly doing the best with what they have, and my 1 star relates to the hotel building, rooms and facilities. Service was fine. Upon entering, we immediately smelled something was off. I assumed it was someone smoking outside or an issue in the lobby. We got to our room and it stunk there too, like an old musty or moldy carpet, but throughout the entire hotel. We booked through a third party, and at one point our room was downgraded to a single room instead of a split room with a divider or separate door for our 3 year old to have his own space. I asked if we could get a room with a divider and they said they were all booked up. The refrigerator in our room wasn't working, so I pulled it out from the wall to investigate and tried pressing the breaker Reset button on the outlet. That fixed it, and the refrigerator worked, but only for a few hours because it wasn't turned on the next morning. Continental breakfast was fine, but space was limited because the hotel was so full. Soccer team staying at the hotel took a lot of space. Pool was ok, nothing too special. The mold smell perpetuated through everything so much that my clothes smelled like mold when I got home. I immediately washed everything that touched anything in the hotel. The health inspector needs to shut this place down until they address the issue. I would not recommend this to anyone for any price. You could do better at a motel or a tent on the side of the road.
