The Pierside Santa Monica

My wife, 4 grandchildren and I stayed three nights. June 7th thru June 10th 2026 in the Park View Family Suite: connecting Rooms, 708 and 710. Stunning view, clean rooms, extra soft beds, linens and pillows. The teenagers loved having their own space and bathroom ( and so did we). The pool area was clean, was warm and inviting. Staff in all areas were great. Very helpful when needed. They made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Pierside Santa Monica! We were only in town for a short visit and, honestly, felt genuinely sad when it was time to leave and head back home. From the moment we walked through the front doors until the moment we departed, we felt completely welcomed and at home. The hotel is impeccably clean and has a warm, cozy beach vibe that instantly allows you to drop your shoulders down, feeling at ease. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, accommodating, professional, and genuinely kind. When we arrived at our room, we were greeted with two soft, delicious, chocolate chip cookies, a handwritten welcome note, and complimentary bike vouchers to explore the area during our stay. How thoughtful! The room itself was charming and beautifully appointed, with every detail carefully considered for comfort. The bed and linens were crisp, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The soaps, lotions, shampoo, and conditioner were plentiful and smelled amazing. I even made use of the complimentary robe and was pleasantly surprised to find a steamer in the closet. There were plenty of hangers, easy temperature controls, and filtered water and crushed ice conveniently located just around the corner from our room. The location couldn’t be better. The beach and pier are just steps away, and countless restaurants and attractions are within easy walking distance. Our first night, we enjoyed dinner at the iconic Water Grill and the next night and one of our favorite evenings was borrowing beach towels and chairs from the front desk and watching the sunset over the ocean. On our final day, our flight wasn’t scheduled until well after checkout, and the hotel continued to exceed our expectations. We were able to securely store our luggage with the front desk, enjoy a delicious freshly prepared burger and spicy fries for lunch, and spend a few more hours soaking up the sunshine by the heated pool before heading to LAX. We even freshened up afterward in the poolside restroom, which was stocked with the same yummy bath products found in our room! There truly wasn’t a single detail overlooked to guarantee our comfort. The Pierside has mastered the art of creating a luxurious home-away-from-home experience while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere at the beach! We can’t wait to return and are already counting the days till we can return to our cozy beach home away from home!!

Great location, Very friendly staff, Clean room, love this hotel.

Front desk girl gave the Gen Z stare. Also you guys tried charging us for early check in when every single other hotel just lets you in if it's ready early. We got there a few hours early and they told us our room was ready, but we had to pay $50 to get in.. We had them hold our luggage and then I get a text 30 minutes later Saying we could go in our room for free now.. Just a little bit ridiculous It's like your price gouging people and you're already paying an arm and a leg to go on vacation.

This place was pretty unbeatable in terms of location, friendliness of staff and cleanliness.

I first want to thank Sophia for making our stay at The Pierside beyond Special. Her kindness, patience and attentiveness to me and the other guests was beyond words. Thank you so much! Everyone that works at this hotel was great! I have zero complaints. Maybe tell the guard man at the front entrance to lighten up lol but I understand the extra protection. I didn’t get to use the pool or even see it as I was in Santa Monica for only one night event. But the amenities, room service and restaurant and gym looked cleaned and brand new. The food was great too and the room was clean. I loved the bed! So comfy. Thank you again! I will be coming back soon for the next festival and definitely staying here. Nadia :)

Gorgeous hotel, great location. The only bummer is we were excited about our costal view rooms only to find our view to be the tops of buildings and a tiny little view of the beach if you are standing in the right corner. If we didnt pay extra, wouldn't have been all that worried but we felt it was falsely advertised. Otherwise, would definitely recommended and stay again 👌
