Tantra

Tantra is a nightclub inside The Park hotel on Park Street, Kolkata's main nightlife strip, and has been running for many years. It is a mainstream club that is listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. Queer nights in Kolkata usually move between hotel clubs like this one, so look for an organised party rather than expecting a gay crowd every night. There are no hours on file, and weekends are the busy nights. Many Indian clubs charge a cover or restrict entry for single men, so check the door policy with the hotel (033 4004 9000) before you go.
