Fiction is a gay bar on the ground floor of the Yumbo Centre in Playa del Inglés, the hub of the Maspalomas gay scene. It opens from noon until 04:00 every day, so it fills both daytime and late slots. During happy hour, staff in swimwear serve cheaper drinks. Screens show live sport, and there is an electronic darts machine. It is a casual bar for drinking and chatting, without a dance floor. The bar takes bookings for group parties. Because the ground-floor bars are open during the day, it is a good place for a first drink before the upper-level clubs open later at night.
