Mexico City has the biggest gay nightlife in Latin America, and it splits into two clusters with very different feels. Zona Rosa, the few blocks around pedestrianised Calle Amberes in Colonia Juárez, has the clubs, go-go bars and a young crowd. The Centro Histórico, on República de Cuba and Eje Central, has old cantina-cabarets with drag, cheap beer and a working-class local crowd. Roma and Condesa add a handful of newer places. Everything below was checked against gaymexicomap.com, Time Out Mexico and Chilango in October 2026.
Zona Rosa: the big clubs
Kinky Bar at Amberes 1 is the busiest club, with three floors. The Cabaré-Tito group runs Cabaretito Fusión at Londres 77, the big show club with a Thursday lesbian night, Punto y Aparte upstairs at Amberes 61, and El Taller, the historic basement bar under El Almacén (Florencia 37-B, since 1996). Blow Bar (Niza 40) has three floors and a darkroom; Rico Club (Niza 45) is big and young but was closed twice by the borough in 2025-26 and reopened by court order in April 2026. Baby (Londres 179), Malva (Amberes 21), Kilens, Put# and Mami fill out the strip, and the Penthouse rooftop opened at Niza 42 in late 2025 above the Voltaire drag cabaret.
Zona Rosa: bears, cowboys, go-gos and quieter bars
Vaqueros (Florencia 35-B) is the cowboy bar and Nicho Bears & Bar on Londres the bear bar. Go-go and stripper shows cluster at the Amberes and Estrasburgo corner: Macho, The Babilon Club and Papi Fun Bar (ex-King Bar); ask prices before you order there. For a quieter drink: La Belle Epoque, Coctel Bar & Grill, Abrazarnos on Hamburgo and the mixed karaoke cantina Las Bohemias. Further east, Estéreo (Fridays) and [sic] (Saturdays, house and techno) share Versalles 64.

Lesbian bars
Babiana Club at Londres 102 is the established lesbian club, and Amazonas Club Less on General Prim has drag king shows.
Centro Histórico
On República de Cuba: La Purísima (number 17), Marrakech Salón ("El Marra", 18), Soberbia (2), El Pecado (45-B) and Sodoma (23-A). The city closed La Puri, El Marra and Soberbia for overcrowding on 17 January 2025; all three have reopened. On Eje Central, Teatro Garibaldi by Plaza Garibaldi is a cheap club with strippers and La Malagueña plays banda. El Tahúr on Belisario Domínguez is an old cantina for older men.

Roma, Condesa and further out
The Foro Roma building at Coahuila 92 (Roma Sur) has Dragaret, a seated drag show with live vocals, and Guilt, a Friday and Saturday club. Revuelta Queer House on Puebla is a queer gallery and wine bar with a rooftop. TOM'S Leather Bar on Insurgentes Sur is the men-only leather bar with a darkroom. Bar Lili near Metro Zaragoza is a neighbourhood bar far from the tourist circuit.
Tips
Most clubs get going after midnight from Thursday to Saturday. Covers are low, and drinks are cheap by US standards. On Amberes, pay per round and check the bill and the tip line. Take an app taxi home. Closed and gone: El Viena, La Botica, BoyBar, La Gayta, Envy, Crown, Push and Hole. Fünk Club on Insurgentes is now mainly straight.
