Hotel Lafayette

Hard to find but really nice. In this age when our minds are always online it's easier to be present in a location that is so stimulating. And unlike other artsy-looking hotels or airbnbs, this one is actually comfortable!

This is our second stay at Hotel Lafayette and while not our first place we go to book in TJ it is always on the list. Things to keep in mind: Rooms are small, but cozy. They could use a few more spaces to set your luggage and personal items. The 'sexy shower suite' has no door to the toilet (or curtain), the view is blocked.... The window coverings do not block out the light. Water pressure has always been low, but adequate and the temperature gets hot enough for my wife (so very hot). Toilets flush. The staff are great and always polite. All in all a great boutique hotel in TJ that is a little quirky.

The property is marketed as a boutique hotel, but it feels more like a hostel. Expect to hear everything happening outside; we had shouting outside our room until 3:00 AM because the windows are so thin. Avoid if you want a quiet night.

Hotel Lafayette sits in the heart of a busy Tijuana street, but the moment you head upstairs, you are transformed into a beautiful boutique oasis. The decor is amazing. If this hotel were in Venice, CA, or Palm Springs, it would be on top lists around the country. The service is top-notch, with constant contact on WhatsApp. The bar in the lobby is quaint and perfect for a nightcap or after-dinner drinks with friends. The staff will always make sure you are taken extremely good care of. You are positioned perfectly. The stairs below lead to an underground passage of amazing coffee cafes and food. If you're in TJ stay here you will not regret it

It's a hotel with a very elegant and unique decor, making excellent use of the space. It's very pleasant, and it even has a bar inside. The bed is very comfortable, and there's plenty of room for a couple of days. The advantage is that you don't need to take taxis because everything is nearby; you're right in the heart of the fun on Avenida Revolución. Some people complain about the noise, but the avenue is naturally that lively. It depends on each person's sensitivity, but at least for us, since we were there for the weekend and were partying, closing the bathroom window and door was enough to get a good night's sleep. It's conveniently located at one of the entrances to the new shopping arcades that are revitalizing and adding a touch of distinction to Avenida Revolución. There are excellent cafes and restaurants nearby, and the nightclubs are within walking distance.

I had an excellent stay at this boutique hotel on Revolución. The property was immaculate from top to bottom, and the room I stayed in—with a soaking tub—was absolutely perfect after a full day of walking and exploring the city. Being able to relax and unwind in such a well-designed space was a highlight of the trip. The location could not be better—right in the middle of everything—yet the hotel itself felt comfortable and well maintained. The staff was available 24/7 and consistently helpful, friendly, and professional throughout my stay. Although the bar was closed since it was a Monday, the décor was still a standout feature. The hotel blends old-school Tijuana character with modern touches in a really thoughtful and stylish way. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tijuana.

Rafael, who greeted me and saw me off during my stay, was very kind and made me feel safe, like I was arriving home. The hotel's overall design is excellent; I loved the wallpaper! Plus, it's located on Revolución Avenue, which allows you to walk and explore downtown Tijuana. 100% recommended.
