FLEX is a gay bar at 405 West 51st Street in Hell's Kitchen. It opened in 2025 in the corner space that was Posh for nearly two decades. It works as a neighbourhood gay bar: a street-level room plus an upstairs space, with theme nights, drag and DJ sets on the calendar. It sits a few blocks from the main Hell's Kitchen bar strip on 9th Avenue, so it's easy to fit into a bar-hop there. It has a solid Google rating from close to 200 reviews. Since it's new, check its social media for the current weekly schedule before you go.

Very bad experience. The employee was extremely rude and, while clearly irritated, slammed the counter door so hard that I hurt my shoulder. If he doesn’t like working with the public, he should find another job. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. I do not recommend this place. If my shoulder is still injured tomorrow, I will seek legal advice and take the appropriate steps.👎

A small and very cozy bar on 51st Street and 9th Avenue. The bar itself is fantastic and really encourages conversation; it’s easy to chat with people. You can even choose the music you want to hear. It’s a perfect spot for a first or second drink, whether you’re on your own or with friends. Highly recommended.
