Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Oceanside

Gave us a room that smelled like urine. All they did was give us a refund for the parking fee.

Overall was pleasantly surprised how nice the hotel was considering I usually don't stay at the Courtyard brand as much as other Marriott. Booked two Executive two bedroom suites for two big family groups. Front Desk team and housekeeping were fantastic. Minor hiccups that could had been avoided with them being better internal communication like having our two rooms on the same floor which I asked when I checked in and late checkout for both rooms when I requested at front desk. I would have rated higher but my biggest pet peeve at any hotel especially when we spend a lot more than like a local motel 6 is when the bathroom showers are not 100% cleaned with removal of hair and dirt 😑

Eh. So so. Poor wifi. Poor service in coffee bar. Good location.

Noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff have no interest in helping. Facilities starting to age and the pool is in fairly poor condition. I would suggest you look elsewhere.

If you can stay anywhere else do so. I had the worst customer service experience I've ever had at a hotel. Front desk guy Gabriel was so rude to me. I'll not be returning nor recommending.

Had to change my review: on top floor and elevator doesn’t work. On top of that room key keeps failing. On top of that their parking is horrible. On top of that it’s way too loud on the weekends with only one night person, nothing can be done about noise. I can’t recommend staying here even if the staff is friendly. Gabriel was amazing upon check in. He was professional, polite, and very accommodating to my needs.
