Vinarosa Resort & Spa

This review is only for the spa and pool lounge experience. I sent an email to management after our visit to try to determine if our experience was an abnormality or in line with their expectations and never received a response. We regularly go to local venues for spa and pool lounge days. Unfortunately, at this time, Vinarosa has great potential but is not yet managed in a way that will bring us back, considering how many other great opportunities and venues are in the general area.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay. The staff were excellent and got us several wine tastings in the area. At first you drive to the resort you expect a little noise as it is close to the highway but it was exceptionally quiet. We drove to Napa for a few tastings not realizing how many are so close to the resort. I’d recommend asking the staff in getting your wineries picked and they were great in getting us our tastings. We would really consider going to the resort again. Beautiful and quiet and you have everything you would need right in the resort.

We had a good time here during our vacation, would love to come back one time. Rooms are very beautiful and bed is really comfortable.

Beautiful resort. Great spa. Loved the pool. The room is exceptionally large and the bathroom is lovely with very nice toiletries. Large path to walk in vineyard. We enjoyed our food and cocktails in the restaurant too!

Stayed at Vinarosa for three nights in early October for our babymoon trip. The Good: 1) Bed and room were extremely comfortable. Super quiet. Probably the best we have ever slept in a hotel. 2) Pool - clean and well maintained with plenty of towels. Chairs did fill up at certain hours, but we booked a cabana which was very worth the price. You get a free bottle of wine, champagne or rose. The completely shaded cabana comes with two beach chairs out in the sun, so you can move back and forth easily between sun and shade. There is also a mini fridge in the cabana with free bottles of water. 3) Location is great. Just a short drive (10 minutes) to downtown Santa Rosa which is cute and has many restaurants and cafes. It's not as fancy as downtown Sonoma, but it's a bit more charming and unique. Think cute game shops, yarn and knitting shop vs. Lululemon or big-name shops. 4) There is a restaurant on-site for lazy breakfasts or dinners if you don't want to drive into town. The Meh: 1) Overall, people were very friendly here. However, when we checked in, the front desk didn't alert us that our room was up a flight of stairs...and at 5 months pregnant, it's not exactly easy to lug suitcases upstairs, and nobody offered to help, which was a bit surprising... 2) Breakfast at the restaurant on-site was a bit mediocre for the price. Better to go into town for much tastier options at the same price point. 3) Service at the pool was mediocre. Nobody is very proactive about coming over to see if you want to order drinks or food. You have to initiate. Not a huge deal, but just not what I was expecting at a higher-end hotel. The Bad: Nothing was outright bad! Overall, we had a great time and we would stay again or bring family and friends.
