The Thuringerhof is a mid-range hotel at the corner of Independence Avenue and Mburumba Street in central Windhoek, Namibia. It is a mainstream hotel listed here as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. Its draw is location: the city centre, shops and Christuskirche area are within walking distance. Reviews are mixed, at 3.7 from about 500, so read recent ones on room condition. Namibia's High Court struck down the colonial-era sodomy law in 2024, but society is still conservative, so keep affection discreet in public. Use taxis rather than walking after dark.
