Staff very helpful and attentive at the Resturant section

Comfortable luxury stay 10mins from town centre in Alice Springs. Room was clean, extremely spacious and bed was comfortable. The only downside is that the rooms are not soundproof so you can hear people outside and also upstairs. The wifi was also intermittent and difficult to connect. Overall a great stay in the heart of Alice Springs.

Stayed for work, booked in the came back later to grab a shower, cold water tap in shower and sink produced scalding water, when i raised this with staff at reception i was told it was a known issue with my room and to “just let the taps run”. Luckily I didn’t just jump in, or didn’t have kids with me. I examined they had been running for 10 mins and getting hotter, initially told i couldn't change rooms because “i had already checked in”, eventually got another smaller room which was ok but could have done with a clean. The breakfast was totally average and overall the place is dirty and has an air of neglect. The staff were really friendly but seemed resigned to the low standards. I would stay at the Casino in future.

Avoid room 204. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom you can smell. The room is not clean to a healthy standard. We found the previous occupants personal belongings in a drawer, and doubt now that the room has been cleaned at all. The staff are apologetic, yet resigned to the low standards, as if this type of complaint is quite frequent. Asked if we would like another room, when we asked if it would be any better she just shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know, sorry". Compared to other Mecure hotels this one is atrocious, i wish we had stayed in the caravan park, but it was booked out. In addition; Upon going to bed I can tell you the previous guests must have sore muscles, as the bed smelt heavily of deep heat on 1 side, i slept poorly fully clothed on top of the sheets. We made the night management aware of the issues, and of our wish to escalate the issues to upper management, as we would like our money back. The night management were very good, apologising and assuring us we would be contacted within a day, we are yet to receive any contact other than the admission it is below acceptable on this post. Since "the owner" has replied to this, perhaps he can pick up the phone? I will edit this if they can be bothered.

Staff wasn’t friendly, they looked like they didn’t want to do their job. We had empty bottles, flies in the tee Kocher, and a rat in our room. Out tour guide said that you should not go outside past 11 am, because it is to dangerous, and if you do before 11am, always be a minimum of 3 people, dont carry backpacks, and dont look scared. We went to a restaurant at 8 am and saw people getting searched by police, but we didn’t feel uncomfortable or anything. Breakfast was alright but I saw many dirty plates and knife’s and forks aswell as cups. Good amount of food to choose from, and the dinner was also pretty good, food came fast and the staff were nice(for once).

The hotel had a great pool, a good restaurant and was ideally located to town.

Firstly. I sympathise with businesses in rural areas and the Territory. From my own experience I know it is difficult to get good, motivated staff. If this was a small business I would be less critical. However, this hotel is part of a multinational chain and “4 star”. Really quite unpleasant. Filthy, worn out and dated. Very limited facilities. Awful restaurant. Would deserve an extra star if it at least felt clean and didn’t smell. It’s just icky. How many varieties of pubic hair would you like with your room…? Urine on the toilet. Shower screen near opaque with scale. I brought this to the attention of reception. Coincidently, another person was also complaining about the hygiene. The room was recleaned and still filthy despite providing photos of particularly bad areas. It was cleaned again and was marginally better but still by most standards “filthy”. Take “4 star” with a large pinch of salt. Much more like a cheap motel. On a positive note reception staff were welcoming and tried to help.

A nice hotel on the edge of the town by the Todd River A big place with a lot of rooms to choose from It has a pool and a guest laundry The restaurant and bar is quite nice and the food was good however the waiter we had was not very good, had a problem with understanding English which is not good in an expensive restaurant

Excellent location, not as lush as the Crowne Plaza but makes up for it with the better service.
