Flippy's is a small queer bar at 646 Sydney Road in Brunswick, aimed mainly at lesbian, sapphic and queer women and their friends. It is open Thursday to Saturday, and its ticketed nights have included SapphSoir and trivia. Google rates it 4.9, but from only about 60 reviews. It is one of only two bars in Melbourne that put queer women first; the other is Bernie's in Fitzroy North. The 19 tram runs along Sydney Road, and Brunswick and Jewell stations on the Upfield line are a short walk away. Check Instagram for the week's nights before heading out.
