Quest Potts Point is a Quest serviced apartment, not a gay hotel. It's a mainstream chain property that happens to be gay-friendly, located on Springfield Avenue just off Darlinghurst Road. The studios and apartments are built for self-catering and longer stays. Location is the whole pitch here. Kings Cross station is around the corner. Victoria Street’s cafés are one block away. Oxford Street’s gay bars in Darlinghurst are a ten-minute walk. You can also walk to Woolloomooloo’s Finger Wharf and the Domain. Expect noise. The surrounding streets get loud late on weekends. If you sleep light, ask for a room away from the street. Reviews rate it about average. Manage your expectations regarding room condition.

*This post is all about the donut shop* Underneath the hotel there is a donut and coffee shop. Gluten-free and vegan donuts. So yummy and taste like real cinnamon sugared donuts. Hot and fresh donuts made in house! I love stopping in the donut shop just because OMG Donuts are so good.

Because our actual hotel was overbooked we booked a room at the quest for three nights because of the good ratings and recommendations. Unfortunately neither the pictures nor the ratings reflected the reality at all. The rooms are old and dirty. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, parts of the furniture was damaged. We looked at 3 rooms and took the most bearable. All we got was a breakfast for free because the nice receptionist felt embarrassed. The location is good, but apart from that I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
