Oxford Hotel

The Oxford Hotel is a long-established gay pub on Taylor Square, at the top of the Oxford Street strip in Darlinghurst. It has several bars over more than one level, with a ground-floor public bar that gets the after-work crowd and other spaces used for DJs, drag and entertainment later in the week. It opens at noon every day, closing at midnight early in the week and at 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, when it fills up with people moving between the Oxford Street venues. The crowd is mostly gay men across a wide age range. Prices are mid-range for Sydney. During Mardi Gras season it is one of the busiest spots on the street.
