QueerAbad

QueerAbad was founded in June 2016 by Anahita Sarabhai and Shamini Kothari as a safe space for talking about queer life in Ahmedabad. It ran the "Ask What You Will" question evenings, readings and film screenings, published awareness booklets in Gujarati and English, and organised the city's Pride marches of February 2018 and February 2019. Its Instagram (@queerabad, about 7,400 followers) has shown no new posts since February 2025, so it's better treated as a contact than as an events calendar.
