Alma Café

Alma Café is a mainstream neighbourhood café on Shin Ben Zion Street in central Rehovot, part of a small local chain. It's gay-friendly but not a gay venue, and there's no queer programming. It's a low-cost, low-key spot for coffee, breakfast, salads and sandwiches, with a 4.5 rating from about 2,400 Google reviews. Like most of Rehovot, the crowd is mixed and local rather than scene-driven. Tel Aviv's gay bars and cafés are around 30 minutes north by train or car if you want more. Note that many places in Israeli towns keep shorter hours on Friday afternoon and Saturday, so check before going on Shabbat.
