Shenkin Hotel

A low-key boutique base at 21 Brenner Street, Shenkin Hotel bills itself as gay-friendly rather than strictly gay. It sits on a side street just off Shenkin Street, so you get the cafés and indie shops without the constant foot traffic outside your window. Rothschild Boulevard and the stalls of Carmel Market are both an easy few minutes' walk away. More than 500 Google reviews give it an average of 4.5, which feels about right for what you get: clean rooms, quiet nights, and zero pretension. It’s built for walking. The gay stretch at Hilton Beach is roughly a 30-minute walk north, or a quick cab ride if the midday heat is too much. Most of the nightlife sits within a few minutes by scooter or taxi. If you're eyeing Pride week in June, lock it in months ahead—central Tel Aviv rooms disappear fast.

The location is great, near the Carmel Market but not too close so there is peace and quiet. The staff is smiling, pleasant and really professional It's fun to have the rooftop with the jacuzzi and we also really liked the coffee corner that is open all the time Recommended!

It's hard to understand what the high rating of the hotel is about. Apart from the excellent location right on the market, we didn't find any other advantages. Relative to the price we paid, the value was very basic. The room was dirty, the floor in the shower was so sticky that you couldn't stand on it without getting stuck.

The service and staff are very kind, I spoke with Liron and Yotam who supported and understood my needs. The Sabbath keepers have a physical key, The reception is on the 5th floor The room was clean, the location is convenient, parking is in the Habima parking lot within walking distance. I highly recommend it.
