Marmelo

Marmelo is a small bar on the second floor of the SA Building in Susukino, the Minami 6 Nishi 6 block that holds most of Sapporo's gay bars. Like most Japanese gay bars it is likely a counter bar with a few seats, run by a master who sets the tone. With only five Google reviews (all five stars), there is little independent detail beyond that. The local customs apply: expect a cover or table charge on top of drinks, and note that some Susukino bars only take Japanese speakers or regulars. A polite question at the door, or coming with someone who already knows the place, helps. Check that it is still running before you head over.
