The Smallville Hotel

The Smallville is a contemporary design hotel on Damascus Road on the edge of Badaro in Beirut. Badaro is a café and restaurant district popular with locals. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar and modern rooms. It is a mainstream hotel listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. Google reviewers rate it 4.5 from more than 2,000 reviews. Mar Mikhael and Gemmayzeh, where much of Beirut's nightlife is, are a short taxi ride north. Same-sex relations remain legally risky in Lebanon and the climate has tightened in recent years, so keep a low profile in public and check current travel advice before you go.
