尼泊爾 has legal protections for same-sex couples and is generally welcoming to LGBTQ+ travelers. Major cities and tourist destinations are the most established; see each city page for the current scene and venue reviews.
Same-sex partnerships are recognised in 尼泊爾, though full marriage may still be pending. The Legal Status panel above has the current position. Legal since the Supreme Court's 2007 ruling; the 2015 Constitution protects gender and sexual minorities and recognises third-gender IDs. On 18 June 2026 the Supreme Court's final verdict (Pinky Gurung v. Government of Nepal) ordered equal marriage rights for same-sex couples; Civil Code amendments were still pending, after 2023 interim registrations with limited rights.
