Gay Saunas in Pasig: The Honest 2026 Guide

Last verified: October 2026 · Compiled from venue checks and local and international sources from 2025–2026 · Report a change

At six in the evening Shaw Boulevard is one long line of brake lights. Jeepneys idle with their engines rattling, office workers pour out of the Ortigas towers into the malls to escape the heat, and the air smells of rain, exhaust and grilled street food. To the south, Kapitolyo's restaurant streets fill up for dinner. Somewhere between the two, behind unremarkable doors, Pasig's men's spas are switching on their steam rooms. Set your expectations first: Pasig has no classic gay bathhouse. What it has are men's spas with a wet area, where massage is the main business and the pool, steam and sauna are the social part. One is long-running and a little cruisy, one is brand new and polished, and one may already be gone.

Legal in one line: sex between men is legal in the Philippines, and Pasig's LGBTQ+ Comprehensive Anti-Discrimination Ordinance (Ordinance No. 4 of 2022, signed by Mayor Vico Sotto in March 2022) bans discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression. But there's no national anti-discrimination law or same-sex marriage, and paid sex is illegal, which matters in a massage-spa scene (see the warning below).

What a Pasig "gay sauna" actually is

Search for gay saunas in Pasig and you'll get three names, all filed as gay saunas. In practice they are spas built around massage: you pay at the desk, get a locker, change, and use the wet area (pool, steam room, dry sauna, showers) before or after a massage in a private room. Some men come only for the wet area, which is where the looking and chatting happens. The crowds are mixed: reviews of 27Shaw mention both gay and straight men, and W Onsen's early reviewers describe it as open to everyone. Allow two to four hours, and expect to pay more than at a neighbourhood massage place.

About "extra service". Reviewers of Pasig's men's spas mention massages that felt "overly sexual" and therapists offering more. Paid sex is not a legal service in the Philippines, and Metro Manila police raid spas over it: in June 2024 Pasay police sent an undercover officer posing as a customer into a spa offering "extra service", arrested the receptionist and cashier, and the city locked the premises. In Pasig itself, the city shut a hotel in Barangay Ugong in April 2026 after an NBI raid over alleged trafficking and prostitution (not a gay venue). The anti-trafficking law can be used against customers as well as owners. Book a massage as a massage, agree the length and price before you start, and decline anything else. And the same goes for other guests: you can always say no, move away or leave, and "no" should be enough. If it isn't, tell the desk.

Shaw Boulevard and Ortigas Center

27Shaw Spa · 27 Shaw Blvd, San Antonio, Ortigas Center

The closest thing Pasig has to a gay sauna. 27Shaw has a small heated pool, a steam room, a dry sauna, shower cubicles and lockers, plus massage rooms that reviewers describe as spacious and dimly lit. It sits on Shaw Boulevard near Greenfield District and Estancia, and a 2025 visitor praised its central location near the train. The crowd is mostly men, gay and straight.

    • Hours: listings disagree. One guide gives 13:30–01:30 Monday to Thursday and 13:30–02:30 Friday to Sunday; another listing shows it open until 03:30 daily.
    • Price: no published price list. A 2025 visitor paid about ₱850 for the wet area only; massages cost extra, and several reviewers call it expensive. Tipping is optional.
    • Booking: by Instagram message (@27shawspa) or phone (0915 095 6400). Reviewers advise booking ahead.
    • What visitors say (2025–2026): friendly staff and good therapists, but the pool is "tepid", the steam room is very dark and cleanliness is "just okay". One reviewer in March 2026 reported cockroaches and no parking; another in February 2026 found the reservation process and layout confusing. A December 2025 guest was uncomfortable with public displays of affection by the pool. A 2025 reviewer said no ID was asked for; carry one anyway.

W Onsen and Spa · FERN Corporate Center, Escriva Drive, Ortigas Center

The newcomer. W Onsen soft-opened around May 2026 in an office building on Escriva Drive, and its first reviews describe a Japanese-inspired men's spa with a steam room, a dry sauna, an indoor pool, "zen" rest rooms, massage and bento-box meals. One early reviewer, posting from the soft opening, described it as "no exclusivity, but inclusivity for all", so don't expect a gay-only crowd.

    • Price: not published; one reviewer said the cheapest massage was about ₱1,600.
    • What visitors say: praise for the interior, the therapists and the food from three reviewers in May 2026; a June 2026 visitor called it "a complete waste of money", complaining of no slippers, a small towel with a charge for extras, open showers and an oily massage bed. With only a handful of reviews so far, it's too early to judge.
    • Hours: not published anywhere we could check. Call 0936 954 4896 before you go.

    Kapitolyo: status unclear

Infinity Spa Kapitolyo · Upper Ground Floor, JNCV Building, Pasig Blvd

A branch of the Infinity Spa chain, which also runs the busy E. Rodriguez spa in Quezon City. It has a steam room, a dry sauna, showers, lockers and a lounge, and the chain's website lists 14:00–03:00 daily for this branch. Chain prices on the website run from about ₱500–700 for steam and sauna only and ₱700–1,150 for an 80-minute standard massage, but the Kapitolyo branch is missing from the price list, and a Google reviewer wrote in April 2026 that it "is closed and no longer exists". Earlier reviews (2024 to January 2026) praise some therapists but complain of grime, mould in the showers, broken air-con and 80-minute sessions ending in under an hour, and several mention extras being offered. Call 0927 913 8838 before making the trip; we've left it out of the table below until it's confirmed open.

Want a real bathhouse? Go next door

If you want a maze, cabins and a darkroom rather than a spa, you'll have to leave Pasig. Both are members-only, with membership sold at the door.

    • D'Mansion, 105 Ligaya St, Plainview, Mandaluyong: the closest, a short Grab ride from Ortigas. A men-only sauna with a dry sauna, cinema, maze, bar, massage and transient rooms. Travel Gay lists 18:00–02:00 on weekdays, to 03:00 on Friday and Saturday, and 15:00–24:00 on Sunday.
    • Club Bath Philippines, 2456 FB Harrison Blvd, Pasay: running since 1977, with a gym, TV lounge, small steam room, cabins and a darkroom. Travel Gay lists 17:00–01:00, to 02:00 on Friday and Saturday. From Ortigas it's a long ride across the city in traffic.

    Practical tips

    • Getting there: 27Shaw and W Onsen are in the Shaw–Ortigas area, reachable from MRT-3 Shaw Boulevard and Ortigas stations on EDSA. Kapitolyo has no rail station. At night, and whenever it rains, use Grab, or the motorbike-taxi apps Angkas, JoyRide and Move It to get through traffic.
    • Best times: weekday afternoons are quiet; Friday and Saturday evenings are the social hours.
    • Money: bring cash in small notes and ask what's included (towel, slippers, food) before you pay. A tip for your therapist is customary; the amount is up to you.
    • Pair it with a night out: O Bar in Ortigas Center runs drag shows from Thursday to Sunday, with recent reviews from June 2026; check its listed hours before going.
    • Bringing someone back: many Philippine hotels charge a "joiner fee" or refuse unregistered guests. Ask before you book, or see GayOut's gay-friendly hotels in Pasig.

    Health

If you have a new rash or sores, skip the spa and see a doctor. GayOut lists AHF Philippines' Pasig clinic in Kapitolyo, and LoveYourself Anglo (3/F Anglo Building, 715-A Shaw Blvd, Mandaluyong) offers free HIV testing and PrEP, a short ride along Shaw Boulevard. If a condom breaks, PEP must start within 72 hours.

    Pride and community

Pasig's city government held its first Pride march, Martsa ng Pag-asa ("March of Hope"), on 27 June 2022 as part of the Araw ng Pasig city-day celebrations, and the 2025 edition, Pasig Pride "Proud FairEver", was again tied to Araw ng Pasig. The Pasig City Pride Development Council, created by ordinance in 2022, oversees the city's LGBTQ+ programmes. We couldn't confirm a 2026 date; expect the next edition around late June 2027 and check the city's announcements. Nearby, Quezon City's own Pride festival at UP Diliman took place on 27 June 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a gay sauna in Pasig?

Not a classic bathhouse with a maze and cabins. Pasig has men's spas with a wet area: 27Shaw on Shaw Boulevard, which has a small pool, steam room and dry sauna and a mostly male, partly gay crowd, and W Onsen and Spa, a Japanese-inspired spa that opened in Ortigas Center in 2026. Both are massage businesses first. For a real bathhouse, D'Mansion in Mandaluyong is a short ride away.

What are 27Shaw's hours and prices?

Listings disagree. One guide gives 1:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Monday to Thursday and to 2:30 a.m. Friday to Sunday; another listing shows it open until 3:30 a.m. daily. There is no published price list; a 2025 visitor paid about ₱850 for the wet area only, and massages cost extra. Book by Instagram message or phone and confirm before you go.

Is Infinity Spa Kapitolyo still open?

It is unclear. The Infinity Spa website still has a Kapitolyo contact page with hours of 2 p.m. to 3 a.m., but the branch is missing from its price list, and a Google reviewer wrote in April 2026 that it had closed. Call 0927 913 8838 before making the trip.

Is 'extra service' at massage spas legal in the Philippines?

No. Paid sex is not a legal service in the Philippines, police in Metro Manila raid spas that offer 'extra service', sometimes using undercover officers posing as customers, and the anti-trafficking law can also be used against customers. Book a massage as a massage, agree the length and price before you start, and decline anything else.

Does Pasig protect LGBTQ+ people from discrimination?

Yes, at city level. Pasig's LGBTQ+ Comprehensive Anti-Discrimination Ordinance, Ordinance No. 4 of 2022, signed by Mayor Vico Sotto in March 2022, bans discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression, and a second ordinance created the Pasig City Pride Development Council. There is still no national anti-discrimination law and no same-sex marriage in the Philippines.
