Somerset Central TD Hai Phong City

I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Somerset Central TD Hai Phong during this business trip! The hotel has an apartment-style design, with spacious and bright rooms, and the overall cleanliness and tidiness were impeccable. For business travelers, the fully equipped kitchen (including a microwave, induction cooker, and basic tableware) is a great feature. If I finish a long day of work and don't want to eat out, I can easily heat up some food or cook a late-night snack in my room, making me feel right at home. Furthermore, the desk and chairs in the room are comfortable, and the Wi-Fi connection is very stable, making it very smooth and efficient for handling business or conducting video conferences. Most commendable is the excellent amenities. There's a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, a lifesaver for business travelers who often return late, making it easy to replenish drinks, snacks, and daily necessities. The front desk and staff are friendly and professional, communicate fluently in English, and the check-in/check-out process is extremely efficient. Overall, whether for a short business trip or a long-term assignment, this hotel is impeccable in terms of comfort, convenience, and value for money. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I am in Haiphong, and I highly recommend it to all friends who are planning to travel to Haiphong for business!

We stayed at the hotel for three nights, and the condition of the accommodation was excellent. It was clean, and it was convenient to have a washing machine so we could do laundry. My child also really enjoyed the swimming pool. There was a Go Hai Phong supermarket nearby that we visited frequently, and since there were local restaurants within walking distance just across the street, we didn't have any issues even without booking breakfast. It was a bit disappointing that there were people exercising with loud music playing around 5 AM, but since I tend to wake up early, it was fine. All the hotel staff were kind; I was flustered when a problem arose at the end, but they called a Grab to the airport for us and explained the payment process in detail, which I really appreciated! It was my first time in Hai Phong, and I think it will remain a fond memory.

There are local restaurants and large supermarkets nearby. Unfortunately, the area around the curtains in the room is dusty and dirty. The swimming pool is spacious and quiet, which is nice. It is convenient as all cooking utensils are provided. It is located away from the trendy areas and is quiet.

I am having a wonderful experience. Breakfast is great, and dinner is available for an additional fee. There is a Go Mart and a convenience store nearby. The swimming pool is also well-maintained. It is also great that there is a Shinhan Bank and a Starbucks across the street.

Overcharged, admitted fault, and still makes you wait 40 days. The hotel charged us more than the agreed rate. When we raised it, the staff openly admitted the mistake was theirs. Yet their only "solution" is to refund us in 35–40 days. That means we are forced to give this hotel an interest-free loan of our own money because of their error. A mistake is forgivable. Refusing to correct it promptly is not. Any competent business can reverse a wrongly charged amount far faster than five to six weeks. This shows a complete lack of accountability and no respect for guests. Check your bill carefully, and think twice before booking here.

The road leading to the hotel is often congested. There's a long wait, which incurs extra charges. When I asked for a ticket, the receptionist had a bad attitude.

A very comfortable and satisfying stay here at Somerset. A couple small things with the room bothered me, but I didn't complain nor ask for any help, so I shouldn't really mention anything here about it. I guess the place is just a tiny bit - chỉ một chút thôi - dated, and I struggled with some with some of the appliances. Well, I am 66 years old, so maybe I just get frustrated easily when I can't figure out things like I used to. I guess I can't be as independent like I like, and more and more I need help with things. Otherwise, everything was great here, especially the staff. Everyone was extremely helpful especially helping me plan and assistance witha day trip I was taking. Em Sue is so sweet and lovely and friendly; it was just nice seeing and greeting everyone when I was coming and going. What else can I say? Another nice lady offered me a sample of some kind of traditional Vietnamese food - these people shared their food with me. To me that means they thought of me as family. I like this place and the people here very much. I should mention children shouldn't go to school on Sunday - instead have fun playing games and football - you know who I'm talking to. Oh, I shouldn't forget the housekeeper, and I don't know her name. Another lovely lady who took good care of me. She really did keep the room and bed nice and clean.
