關於此地 Dans le Noir ? Brussels - 黑暗用餐體驗

Dans le Noir? Brussels is the Belgian branch of the French dining-in-the-dark chain, on Rue du Commerce near the European Quarter. It is a mainstream restaurant listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. You eat a surprise menu in a pitch-black dining room and are guided and served by visually impaired staff. The point is to taste, listen and talk without sight, and shared tables mean you often end up chatting with strangers. Prices are upper-mid range. Book ahead, flag allergies when you reserve, and leave phones and anything that lights up in the lockers at the entrance. Google rates it 4.5 from 277 reviews.

A wonderful experience! We had lovely company and a fantastic evening. The meal was delicious, even though we were quite confused and had trouble guessing all the ingredients on our plates. Thank you to Roberta (who is visually impaired) for her smile (which could be heard even in the dark) and her impeccable service!

A truly enriching experience! My stress two minutes before the start of this experience vanished instantly once we were seated at our table. I had noticed a couple in the hotel lobby, and we ended up sharing this moment together and the four of us became friends. Everything was on a different level, from the food to the human connection. A huge thank you to our guide, Saïd, who is simply an incredible person and makes you want to get to know him better. And thank you to Olga and Guillaume for this wonderful experience. Sandrine 😉

It was really great! Original and delicious! However, it's pitch black, you can't see ANYTHING and you need to be lucky with your neighbors 😃 The wait for dessert was a bit long, but otherwise everything was perfect

A truly unique experience that I recommend everyone try at least once. It was a first for our family, and we left with much more than just a meal: a real life lesson. Suddenly losing our sight, even for just a few hours, makes us realize how much we rely on it every day. Eating with cutlery was sometimes a real challenge (I must admit my fingers were a big help!), but that's all part of the experience. Our 9-year-old daughter was very anxious before going in, and even more so once we were in the dark. She was even afraid to taste her appetizer; the texture unsettled her. A huge thank you to Manuel, our server, who knew just what to say to reassure her with such gentleness and kindness. Thanks to him, she relaxed, let go of my hand, and finally fully enjoyed the experience. Manuel also shared a part of his life story with us. His story deeply moved us and gave us a better understanding of the daily lives of blind people. We were able to ask him all our questions, and he always answered them with great kindness and simplicity. I was also impressed to learn that there are usually only three servers for about sixty customers. This is remarkable, especially since the service is perfectly smooth: the dishes flow seamlessly, without excessive waiting, and with great professionalism. A very welcome bonus: we easily found a parking space about 200 meters from the restaurant. The reception area is also very elegant and immediately sets the mood. Thank you to the entire team, and especially to Manuel, for your kindness, your professionalism, and this timeless experience.

I had a wonderful time, although I was a little nervous at first. The food was good, and the service was even better. A big thank you to Wassim, who guided us and served us perfectly. I'll definitely be back.

A superb sensory experience! We were guided in the dark to our table, where we sat next to strangers, chatting with them throughout the evening and trying to guess our mystery dishes! Yes, we had to guess what we were eating in total darkness! The revelation of the dishes at the end surprised us with the importance of sight in determining the food we were eating! A big thank you to Jean-Paul, our guide and server!
