關於此地 Hotel Auberge Van Strombeek

Hotel Auberge Van Strombeek is a bare-bones budget stop on Temselaan in Strombeek-Bever (Grimbergen), sitting north of Brussels near the Atomium and the Brussels Expo grounds. It’s a standard mainstream spot that flags itself as gay-friendly, not an actual gay hotel. Look at the reviews before handing over a credit card: it scrapes a grim 2.5 across roughly 150 write-ups. The complaints are consistent. Expect reports of damp, grime, tired furniture, shoebox bathrooms, and hot water that cuts out mid-shower. A few travelers credit the staff for being polite, and you can’t fault the proximity to the Expo halls if you’re strictly here for a trade show. Central Brussels and the gay bars clustered along Rue du Marché au Charbon sit a tram or metro ride south.

I booked on 29 th March 2022 via Cubilis and asked for a booking confirmation several times without success. Now in less one week before arrival they informed me, that they are not able to honor my reservation due to construction of the hotel. Usually a construction is known in advance. Now I have to search a new hotel within less than one week with much higher prices! Service and Hotel is NOT recommended.
