Odense has one LGBTQ+ bar, and it isn't a commercial one. Lambda, LGBTQ+ på Fyn at Brogade 3, just north of the pedestrian centre, is the association that has looked after queer Funen since 1993, and its volunteers run a small bar and café in the house. We checked Danish and English sources in October 2026: there is no gay club, no drag bar and no gay street in Odense.
Lambda (Brogade 3)
Lambda's own calendar had the bar open on Thursdays from 19:00 and Fridays from 20:00 in October 2026. Drinks are cheap, the room is small, and regulars are used to people dropping in alone. The same house hosts a trans group (Thursdays at 18:30), counselling evenings and social groups. The rota is volunteer-run and changes, so check lambda.dk or the Lambda.Odense Facebook page before you go.
What about the other bars?
Earlier versions of this page listed No Stress (Mageløs), June Bar (Vestergade), Skor (Kongensgade) and the karaoke basement Den Brølende And as gay bars. We found nothing from those bars or from local sources describing them as LGBTQ+ venues, so we've removed them. They're ordinary city-centre bars, and same-sex couples won't stand out there.
Events instead of clubs
Most queer nights in Odense are events, not venues. Odense Pride runs a Queer Café at Studenterhus Odense (12 November and 10 December 2026, 16:00 to 20:00) and the Pride day itself in Kongens Have on the third Saturday in May; Odense Pride 2027 is on 15 May. Lambda holds its own parties through the year.
Gone but still Googled
Café Pan and the LBL disco on Sankt Anne Gade closed in 1993, and Lambda's basement café at Vindegade 100 closed in 2005. For a bigger night out, Copenhagen is 71 minutes away by express train. See the full Odense guide.
