Odense Pride is the volunteer association, founded in December 2020, that runs Odense's Pride day and a small year-round programme. The Pride day itself is held on the third Saturday in May in Kongens Have, the park opposite the train station; the 2026 edition on 16 May drew 3,200 people despite the rain, and 2027 is announced for 15 May, 12:00 to 18:00.
Between Prides the association runs a Queer Café at Studenterhus Odense (12 November and 10 December 2026, 16:00 to 20:00) and a queer reading club with the main library. Its postal address is Lambda's house at Brogade 3. Dates are on odensepride.dk.

The penitentiary of Odense was built in 1752 by the Danish King Frederik V. Along with three others in Copenhagen, Jutland and Southern Zealand, the four penitentiaries served as prison for the poor begging in the streets of the country. Living here as prisoners, they worked for the food and lodging and also waiting on the richer people in town on special occasions and banquets. H. C. Andersen used to visit as a child, and was very afraid of the people living there. It stopped serving as a prison towards the end of the 19th century, and today belongs to Odense city. It cannot be visited, but you can admire the beautiful yellow façade from the outside.
