Where to stay in Marseille
Marseille has no gay hotel and no gay district, so pick a base by the bars you want to walk to. The 1st arrondissement, around the Vieux-Port and the Canebière, puts you near L'Annexe, Les Thermes and the port terraces. The 6th, around Notre-Dame-du-Mont, is closest to Le Pulse and Boum on Cours Julien. Both are about 15 minutes' walk apart, uphill one way.
Hotels listed by Travel Gay
Grand Hôtel Beauvau Marseille Vieux-Port is a historic MGallery hotel on the corner of the Vieux-Port, with many harbour-view rooms. InterContinental Marseille - Hôtel Dieu fills the 18th-century Hôtel-Dieu above the port, with a spa and a harbour terrace, a short walk from the Centre LGBTQIA+.

Near Cours Julien
Mama Shelter Marseille on rue de la Loubière is a design hotel a few minutes from Cours Julien, and the queer party La Dégaine has used it as a venue.
Central and good value
Hotel Marsiho by HappyCulture on Cours Belsunce and Hôtel Mercure Marseille Canebière Vieux-Port on the Canebière are a few minutes from L'Annexe and Les Thermes. Radisson Blu Hotel, Marseille Vieux Port faces the port on Quai de Rive Neuve. Near Saint-Charles station, Toyoko Inn Marseille Saint Charles is a practical budget choice, and The People Hostel - Marseille has dorms and private rooms.

By the sea
La Villa D'Orient is a guesthouse at Samena in the 8th, a short drive from the Anse du Mont Rose gay beach, but far from the bars.
Tips
Book early for the first weekend of July, when Pride Marseille fills the centre. Rooms near Saint-Charles and the Canebière are cheapest, but those streets are rough late at night. If you're coming for the beaches and Calanques, a hotel south of the Vieux-Port saves time.
