The Adlon Kempinski is the five-star hotel on Pariser Platz, right beside the Brandenburg Gate. The current building opened in 1997 as a reconstruction of the 1907 original. It's a mainstream luxury hotel, gay-friendly as you'd expect at this level in Berlin, with a spa, an indoor pool, a gym and several restaurants, including a Michelin-starred one. The Reichstag, Tiergarten and Friedrichstraße are a few minutes away on foot. The gay bars of Schöneberg, around Nollendorfplatz, are about 15 minutes away by taxi or U-Bahn. Expect top-tier prices and very formal service.

Regarding the Elephant Bar: The bar itself is quite alright. However, the service is neither particularly knowledgeable nor proactive, and the humidor is so over-hydrated that the already limited selection of cigars is unenjoyable. The decor also fails to reflect the hotel's intended luxury. One would expect significantly better from a hotel of this caliber.

I stayed at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin during my holiday and had a great experience. The location is excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and professional. Everything was well organized, and the overall atmosphere felt luxurious yet welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin.
