Beethoven is a café, bar and restaurant on Ackerstraße in Flingern, Düsseldorf's arty east-side neighbourhood. It's a gay-friendly mainstream place, not a gay venue. People come for breakfast, coffee, lunch, dinner or evening drinks, and breakfast draws the biggest crowd. It's open every day from 10am to 11pm and has a front terrace that fills up in good weather. A wonderful restaurant! The menu is consistently excellent and reasonably priced, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The "neo-bourgeois" menu offers a variety of options for every dietary preference, whether for breakfast, a main meal, or just a drink. After at least two dozen visits, I plan to return again and again – a 100% recommendation for Beethoven!
