Wenzel Leipzig

We had a voucher for a classic or dumpling meal for two. However, we were only charged for the cheaper dish. We received a €40 voucher and were still expected to pay €50 ourselves. We inquired about this and were very disappointed 😞. Wenzels Stuben, never again. We did get our money back, but the hassle and frustration ruined the whole evening. We had been so looking forward to it. So sad 😢

For lovers of Czech cuisine—and beer—a visit is practically a must. The service is decent, and the prices are reasonable. The only downside: the restaurant closes—punctually!—at 10:00 p.m.

An absolutely fantastic experience – a true highlight in Leipzig! We recently visited Wenzel Leipzig and were completely thrilled. The ambiance is incredibly cozy, stylish, and instantly makes you feel at home. A huge compliment goes to the service: The staff is incredibly attentive, warm, and efficient, and even when the restaurant is packed, they always have a smile on their faces. As a guest, you simply feel very well taken care of. The food was simply superb! Anyone who enjoys hearty Bohemian cuisine will be in heaven here. The portions are generous, the meat was incredibly tender, and the seasoning was perfect. The dumplings and the accompanying sauce were an absolute highlight – simply divine. The fresh draft beer was also an excellent complement. The value for money is excellent for this quality and location. We will definitely be back very soon and can wholeheartedly recommend Wenzel Leipzig to everyone! 5 out of 5 stars – more than deserved! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Portion size was manageable. Service definitely needs improvement. Food quality was good.

I'm still here, but I certainly won't be back anytime soon. The ambiance and service were fine, and the appetizer was okay too. But the main course, the roast beef, was very bad. It didn't look good; the entire plate was covered in "cream sauce." Of the two pieces of roast beef, only one was edible, and even that wasn't very good. The second piece was rock hard and inedible. The photo shows the state of the plate before it was cleared.

Excellent home-style cooking. Great value for money! The staff was very friendly too. I'd gladly come again.

I think this restaurant is overrated. We had to wait almost 20 minutes for our drinks order, then another 10 minutes for them to arrive. The staff was very unfriendly. The food was okay, but far too little for the price. You could count the pieces of goulash on one hand, the Kasseler (smoked pork loin) was a tiny piece, and the roast pork was also just a small piece of meat. It was my first and last time visiting this place. I expected much, much more based on a recommendation. And the waiters could learn a thing or two about how a Köbes (traditional Cologne waiter) should serve customers in Cologne.
