Retek Bisztro

Niki and Roland made our first visit memorable. Great food, good vibe! Easily recommendable🤌🏻

Good food and great service by Zoltán.

Best food I had in Budapest. Gulasch soup, goat cheese salad, and especially the duck leg were all amazing.

Fantastic place. Niki and Tomás are amazing. We strongly recommneded

I really recommend this place with a perfect, tradicional cousine! Great Gulas soup! Niki and Tomas are very kind! I will come back here for sure!

Wonderful, atmospheric restaurant! Live music, delicious food, excellent service! We were welcomed as the most precious guests! We came without a reservation and they found a place for us, there was enough time for the next visitors to arrive! We were served by Niki - very friendly and attentive!

Wonderful cozy restaurant. Very tasty. Live classical music adds atmosphere. I recommend you visit, you will be satisfied. We were served by the waiter Niki. Friendly and professional.

It was very nice at your place!!!!❤️ And Niki + Tomi were very kind and professional!🤗

Everything was great. Especially Petra's amazingly sophisticated service!

Touristy place. Limited menu.

Very good and very friendly. They brought us a slice of bread with a delicious pâté to try, followed by the dinner we had ordered, and for dessert, apple pie. Finally, with the bill, they asked if we wanted a shot, and it was the traditional 50-proof liqueur.

The restaurant was so nice that we had to go there twice. Of all the restuarant I tried in my 3 week trip to Budapest this one stood out above all the other ones. The interior is really beautiful and nicely designed. The service was really polite and accommodating. The first time I was there I ate the chicken breast filled with cheese and ham which was really delicious. The sides with the chicken breast almost formed a picture on the plate which looked really nice and thought through. The menu was matching the interior design pretty well and it felt like you're at a hungarian grandmas house. The second time I was there I ate the beef shank vadas style which just blew my mind. 100% worth a try. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone coming to Budapest.

Wow, it was absolutely the best. It was truly the best, even better than any review I've seen. I've been to all the famous goulash restaurants in Budapest. Honestly, after visiting them all, Retek was the last place I went to; I just came here thinking I had nothing to lose. But I would have regretted it if I hadn't come here. It was so delicious, and perfect for Korean palates. I am so grateful to my husband for booking this place. Since we booked for our honeymoon, they gave us complimentary sparkling wine, which was so good. I like to pair white wine with meat dishes, and the white wine they recommended went perfectly with it. Actually, while the food tastes great, I tend to place a lot of importance on the service aspect. Even if the food is delicious, unfriendliness from the staff can often ruin the experience. But at Retek, having the best server makes it truly the best. Thanks to PETRA, my honeymoon became the best honeymoon and the best trip to Budapest. I would definitely want to visit again if I get the chance. PETRA, you are the best, and I was truly happy to receive your service. I am writing this review hoping you know that too. I am leaving this here.
