DebrecenPride

DebrecenPride is a volunteer LGBTQ+ group for Debrecen and Hajdú-Bihar county, founded in 2017. Instead of a street march, it focuses on local visibility and community events: Rainbow Week film screenings, Pink Picnics, social meet-ups and cultural evenings. It gets some support from Budapest Pride's work outside the capital. Events are announced mainly on its Facebook page, and the group can be reached by email at debrecenpride@gmail.com. Hungary's 2025 restrictions on pride assemblies limit public events, so some activities may be private or by invitation. Ask the group for current advice.
