wow what a sight... immerse yourself in an abstract and fascinating world - you will be enchanted by the construction that takes you back in time appreciating the ability of our ancestors
Went to mass on Sunday at 1030. Incredible. Before the mass there was about 20 minutes of music - similar to Gregorian chants. Beautiful! There were several open confessionals - 2 for English and Italian speakers. There are also 2 Adoration Chapels. This is a short walk from the Colosseum.
We were lucky to make our Scavi reservations early. We were thrilled to partake in this special undergound tour with Daniella. Such an experience to witness first hand the "Avenues and Streets" laid out underneath St Peter's! Of all the tours, this was the most exciting. Was St Peter buried underneath the Basilica? Book early -it is an unforgettable experience.
Great experience with Dominic our server. Solid gay guy, played the part very well. Would highly recommend. Fair prices too for being right next to Colosseum.
The only positive point is that you can drink while looking at the Colosseum in the background; there aren't many gay options in the city, and if you sit on the street you can drink with a view of the Colosseum. What disappointed me was the service. There were two terrible situations. On the first day, my friends and I stayed until the bar closed, but the service was always terrible, especially from one waiter in particular. At the end of the night, when he came to clear our table and tell us he needed to close, he was extremely rude. We picked up our glass and some bottles of water that were on the table, and I politely asked if there was any trash to throw away. He took mine, threw it on the floor, and replied something like "don't have" in an ironic tone. The next day we went back to the same bar since there weren't many options. There were a few occupied tables and about three free ones. We went towards one table and the same waiter was standing next to us. We asked if we could sit at that table, and he replied again in an ironic tone that it was reserved. We asked about the other tables and he replied that yes, AND THEY WERE NOT RESERVED. There was a group of Brazilians next to us who were super friendly and said they were leaving and asked if we could sit at their table, but we preferred to stay at the bar next door where the service was much better!
Pity we cannot trust our own tribe. You have to pay after every drink. They don't care about your bank charges. The vibe is good, service unfortunately very poor and trust zero.
I love you. A kiss.
We ordered pizza, lasagna, gnocchi, and tiramisu, and they were all delicious. The waiters were very friendly. Thank you so much for everything.
We stopped by this bar where we were forbidden to sit unless we were eating or drinking. Even ordering an orange juice and a Pepsi wasn't enough to get us a seat, even though they were among the options on the menu we were given to sit down (maybe only the first two pages counted, not the third, who knows!). I don't know if it's fair for a bar to force a tourist to eat or drink alcohol. With the temperature approaching forty and €18 spent on two coffees and two soft drinks, they certainly aren't exactly welcoming and hospitable. It's a shame, and I'd say it completely contradicts the message they're trying to convey.
Super friendly staff... Delicious food Good drinks With a view of the Colosseum
Very expensive. Beer is 15 euros.
An unforgettable aperitivo experience with one of the most iconic views in the world! Enjoying a perfectly made Spritz while looking at the illuminated Colosseum was simply magical. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, the service was friendly and attentive, and the drinks were refreshing and well-balanced. Whether you’re visiting Rome for the first time or returning, this is the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the city’s beauty. Highly recommended for an evening drink with an incredible view!
Siting here for 15 minutes now, so far no reaction from the stuff. Even tho they walked by me a few times. Service is totally not their priority... Let's see when they will notice me 🤔
Great experience.
Great cocktails. Nehellenia provided amazing entertainment. Love. 🌈
The food was disappointing and lacked flavor. The service was not very flexible, and our requests were not handled well. Overall, the experience was below expectations.
Domenico is very kind, the croissants are delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Professional staff... The Carbonara is phenomenal, the best in the Celio area !!!!!! I love this place♥️🌹🌈
We had an amazing experience at Coming Out in Rome! The food was absolutely delicious, and the focaccia was one of the best I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I also enjoyed a Pink Spritz, which was refreshing and beautifully presented. The live music created a wonderful atmosphere, making the whole evening even more special. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, providing impeccable service from beginning to end. This is much more than just a restaurant—it offers a unique atmosphere that takes you out of the ordinary and makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. If you’re visiting Rome, this place is definitely worth experiencing. A special thank you to Diana for her kindness, warmth, and outstanding hospitality. She and her team made our evening even more memorable. . Highly recommended!
