SoHo is a gay bar on Reguliersdwarsstraat, Amsterdam's main gay street, styled like a London pub with dark wood, brass and a big staircase. It runs over two floors: the ground floor works as a drinking bar in the early evening, and upstairs turns into a dance floor later on. It opens every night at 18:00 and closes at 03:00, or 04:00 on Friday and Saturday, so it suits both an early drink and a late finish. The crowd is mixed in age and mostly male, prices are typical for the street, and it is an easy place to walk into on your own. Weekend nights after midnight are the busiest.
