Gościnna Chata Restaurant

When you enter the restaurant, the first things that catch your attention are the music and the beautiful interior. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards, your mood and desire to stay are ruined by the unfriendly and arrogant staff. They have an English menu, but the staff do not understand English, Czech, or German, and simply tell you to speak Polish. However, the food was excellent – that is something I definitely cannot fault. The whole interior is also very beautiful, but unfortunately, the service completely spoiled the overall experience.

I was taken all the way downstairs for my table, making me wonder if I might have to wait for service, but I was wrong. The waiter came almost straight away with a menu, and then returned very quickly for my order. I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian stuffed cabbage leaves, followed by the sweet dumplings stuffed with plums and chocolate with fruit compote to wash it all down. All were delicious. Excellent service, very friendly but not intrusive, and fantastic value for money. Highly recommended

Traditional style restaurant, delicious local dishes and very friendly service. Fantastic ribs. If you are looking for authentic Polish food at reasonable prices in the center of Krakow and want to avoid the tourist traps, this is the place.

A very quiet and cozy place with an outstanding selection of traditional dishes and regional vodkas. Enjoy sitting in a small backyard sipping on one of the best drinks in town being served by extra-friendly staff. As mentioned already the complimentary smaletz and cheese are perfect appetizers. Oh, and the prices are at least one third of what you get on the Main Square

Very nice and pleasant restaurant, young, helpful and fast staff. The food is local and regional and is delicious. We have been there twice and each time we have been completely satisfied.
