El Palace Barcelona

This was my first time in Spain, and I was able to stay here. It was a wonderful time with no regrets. This is a traditional and prestigious hotel located in the heart of Barcelona. A receptionist and concierge were waiting at the entrance. We entered our room using the elevator 🛗 and a heavy, old-fashioned key – a rare sight these days. The staff treated all guests equally, with politeness and kindness. During my stay, they called taxis for me, and I had no complaints about the room cleaning. Everything was excellent service. The breakfast area is at the back of the first floor, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Especially the cured ham, fruit, bread, chocolate, macarons – the list goes on and on. If you order room service, try the club sandwich 🥪. It's incredibly delicious. The staff are all so kind, so please come and visit!

A jewel for the eyes and the senses

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Such a Special Day at El Palace Barcelona I had such a wonderful day at El Palace Barcelona and couldn’t leave without sharing how special the experience was. Even though we were only there for a day stay, we were made to feel so welcome and genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. I especially want to thank Elisa from Guest Experience. What a lovely person! She was incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive and went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying our time at the hotel. It never felt like she was simply doing her job—she genuinely cared about our experience, and that personal touch meant so much to me. We also had a fantastic time at the Rooftop, where Nacho and German looked after us so well. They were both so friendly and attentive, always making sure we had something to drink and something delicious to eat. We were able to just relax, enjoy ourselves, and feel completely taken care of. Later, we enjoyed the Lower Hall, which I absolutely loved. It was elegant and beautiful but still felt comfortable and inviting. The food was delicious, and Aira was wonderful to us. She was so sweet and attentive and made our meal feel even more special. The hotel itself is gorgeous, but for me, it was really the people who made the difference. Elisa, Aira, Nacho, and German each made us feel welcomed in their own way, and those are the things you remember after you leave. It’s amazing that we were only at El Palace for the day and still came away feeling that we had experienced something truly special. Thank you to everyone who took such wonderful care of us. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Next time, we definitely will.

Elisa from Guest Experience deserves a very special mention. She was absolutely wonderful and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the very beginning. She anticipated our needs, checked that everything was going well, and made certain that our day was as enjoyable as possible. Her gracious personality and commitment to providing exceptional service really stood out. She made us feel like very special guests, even though we were only there for the day. Our time at the Rooftop was another highlight. Nacho and German were fantastic! They were personable, attentive, and seemed to know exactly when we needed something. They kept us happily fed and hydrated while allowing us to relax and simply enjoy the beautiful setting. Their hospitality was effortless and genuine. We also enjoyed a lovely meal in the Lower Hall. The setting was elegant without feeling overly formal, the food was delicious, and Aira was an absolute delight. She took excellent care of us and added another level of warmth to an already wonderful experience. What I will remember most about El Palace is not only the beauty and elegance of the hotel, but how the staff made us feel. True five-star hospitality is about more than beautiful surroundings—it is about people who genuinely care about creating a memorable experience for their guests. Elisa, Aira, Nacho, and German, thank you for making our day at El Palace so enjoyable. You each contributed something special to our visit, and we left with wonderful memories and a desire to return—next time, hopefully for much longer! How can I book a movie experience on the terrace for 2 people?

Very rude and unprofessional security staff. I asked a simple question in English about the rooftop, and one of the security guards told me in Spanish that it was not open. What was particularly disrespectful was hearing his colleague say, in Spanish, “well then, send her ass back home.” Spanish is widely spoken and understood language making comments like this about a customer— because you thought the customer cant understand you—is completely unacceptable. If you work in hospitality and deal with international visitors, basic courtesy and professionalism should be expected regardless of what language the customer speaks. Please choose your staff more carefully and provide proper customer-service training.
