關於此地 Sparkles Show Bar

Sparkles is a drag show bar inside the Yumbo Centre in Playa del Inglés, the cluster of gay bars and clubs at the centre of Gran Canaria's gay scene. Its evenings run on drag and cabaret, with DJs between and after the shows. The crowd is mostly gay holidaymakers from northern Europe. It's open nightly 20:00-02:00. The line-up of queens changes with the season, so check the website for who's on and show times. It's a good early-evening stop before the Yumbo's dance clubs get going after midnight.

We went with the intention of seeing the Show but, honestly, we were not impressed, I expected more. Some of the ladies were really amazing but some were not, they seemed like they were just doing their job and not enjoying their role at all. The service was great, especially the tall, skinny guy who was funny and always smiling

Ok so the show itself was really well put together. But here is the reason for the 2 stars. I ordered 2 soft drinks and the waiter said "and one for me?" I said sure. He was a bit cheeky. But that was ok. When the drinks arrived he had ordered a 4.50€ drink which to me is taking advantage. I don't know if this is normal practice to get more money in the till, or it was just a waiter that needs reeling in a little. But it left a bad taste in my mouth.
