Social Tapas is a tapas restaurant at Avenida de Tirajana 17 in Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas, near the Yumbo Centre. It sits in the lowest price tier and has a strong rating: 4.8 on Google from about 450 reviews. It's a mainstream restaurant listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue, though in this part of Gran Canaria much of the evening crowd is gay. It's handy for a meal before the Yumbo bars open. Excellent service. They have tapas that you won't find elsewhere, both meat and vegetarian options. The wine selection is limited but varied and pairs well with the food, and the staff is very friendly and attentive to the diners' needs. I recommend ordering the specialty tapas!

Excellent experience at this tapas restaurant. The wines were delicious and the service was incredibly attentive and professional. I highly recommend it, as well as Lola restaurant, which is right next door.

What a wonderful evening! High-quality, sometimes unusual tapas, very attentive service, and a beautifully decorated restaurant. We'll be back, it was fantastic!
