Hotel Pez Espada

In our opinion, what should have been a nice holiday was ruined by the hotel. Upon arrival, it turned out that one of the two rooms had a balcony measuring 1 by 1 meter with a view of homeless people. Because everything was fully booked, it was not possible to swap rooms. There was a massive ant infestation in the other room; there were at least 20 ants crawling across the walls, on the bed, in the closets, everywhere. When we reported this, a woman immediately came and sprayed the entire room with Vinfer Matón (a very chemical substance), while I (pregnant), my 4-year-old son, and my partner stood by. She left the spray can standing there. When we looked this up, it stated that children and pregnant women really should not inhale this substance and that you need to ventilate well. Nothing was said about this? We find this truly scandalous. The kids' pool is a spray park, but it has been turned off all week. When you ask about it, they say they don't know? A bit strange. The air conditioning hasn't been working for ages. Asked multiple times, but nothing is done about it. Breakfast is fine, but the hotel cannot keep up. There are lines at the entrance because the tables are occupied. A lot of food is sold out and is replenished late because they are too busy and have too little staff. If there is trash on the floor, they walk over it 20 times without picking it up. Previous guests had spilled sauce on the floor; we reported this to two staff members upon arrival, and when we left, it was still there; by then, everyone had already walked through it. The bathroom indeed looks fantastic in the photos, but up close, it is faded glory. We thought the cleaning staff put cups back in the room 'clean' after use. They just run a dishcloth through them and put them back down; yuck!! It is not possible to keep the room on the day of departure, or you have to pay 120 euros because you have to pay for the night immediately. We find it anything but friendly, even though you pay thousands of euros. I could go on like this for a while; we won't be coming back a second time.

We were in the junior suites , staff throughout hotel extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choices, good quality food. Golden lounge was a bonus , with easy access to beach. Would definitely stay again.location is excellent

It's an exceptional 4-star hotel

Celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Ondina restaurant in the Vez Espada Hotel. We enjoyed a magnificent meal consisting of appetizers, a main course, and dessert, in a tranquil atmosphere with fantastic views. The food was plentiful and superb. The staff was friendly and professional. They even remembered our wedding from last year and took a photo of us, just like on our wedding day.

From the very first moment, Bárbara was attentive to everything, with impeccable organization, personalized service, and above all, she gave us so much peace of mind in the final days, something we truly appreciated. She was always available and attentive to every detail, making everything so much easier. We also want to highlight the work of all the hotel staff. The waiters were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional at all times. Even the next day, during breakfast, some of them came over to ask how everything had gone. These small details speak volumes about a team and make the experience even more special. Furthermore, the food was spectacular; everything was delicious, and our guests were also delighted and congratulated us on our choice. I highly recommend celebrating weddings at this wonderful hotel. I want to thank the entire team, but especially Barbara, the events manager, for her excellent work and the warm and friendly way she treats you. I celebrated my wedding there, and I can't express my gratitude for how perfectly everything turned out. The food was spectacular, the service was marvelous, and Raquel, the head waitress, in particular, ensures that everything is perfect and runs smoothly. I also want to thank the manager for her kindness and approachability. It was a pleasure. 💗

Very good hotel

Swimming pool closes at 5:00 PM, even though there are still plenty of people by the pool. No gym, even though it says so in the description.
