Urumchi Uyghur Restaurant

We came as a family familiar with Uyghur cuisine and were generally pleased. The staff were polite and helpful, the portions were very large, and the food was truly delicious. You should definitely try the stir-fried pasta, but unfortunately I can't say the same for the laghman; it was a bit bland for us. The water dumplings and the pitir dumplings were both excellent and worth trying. The prices are really good. And finally, it's a pet-friendly establishment! We were able to sit outside with our pet.

The atmosphere and service were lovely. We chose the pasta with sautéed meat and the dumplings on the side. It was filling and delicious.

The place is generally clean, the food is really delicious; especially the pasta stir-fry, wild mushroom dish, and bean stir-fry are very tasty. Service and the kitchen can sometimes be very slow, so it's best to call and order before you go.

The outdoor seating is lovely. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is excellent, and so is the service. Highly recommended.

We tried the stir-fried pasta. Its taste is similar to the Soba noodles you find in Chinese restaurants. It was delicious and good, worth trying.

Frankly, it doesn't really appeal to my taste. They mostly have dishes like pasta, dumplings, and herbal dishes. Paying around 500 TL for that kind of food felt like a luxury to me.

The meat dishes are incredibly delicious and the portions are very large. It would be nice if they offered mixed bento menus or half-portion options for those who want to come alone and try different flavors. Every time I come, I can't resist eating their stir-fried pasta; I can honestly say this is the best place for stir-fried pasta among Uyghur restaurants in Ankara. I tried the sautéed tree mushrooms; those looking for different flavors and who like food with a substantial texture might prefer that. Besides these, their Samsas are very tasty. The meat-filled lavash is a more familiar taste, but it's good and filling. I recommend trying the meat options rather than the chicken ones.

Yesterday, the staff at the restaurant recommended the Turkish dumplings (su mantısı) and the stir-fried pasta, and I asked for samsa as an extra. I really liked the samsa, and I appreciated the complimentary thermos of tea they brought; the tea tasted great, it was fresh, and we enjoyed it with our meal. The Turkish dumplings weren't bad for me, the sauce added an umami flavor, but my wife didn't like them as much. The stir-fried pasta was also good, but I wouldn't eat it again, it wasn't anything special for me, but my wife liked it. The attention, service, and cleanliness were also good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
