Lotus Restaurant & Cafe is a mainstream restaurant on Ibn-i Kemal Caddesi in the Hoca Pasa area of Fatih, between Sirkeci station and Sultanahmet. It rates 4.9 on Google from about 600 reviews, with comments mostly about friendly service, and it sits in the upper-mid price tier. The old city area is packed with restaurants aimed at visitors, so check the menu and prices before ordering. Istanbul's gay bars are across the Golden Horn around Beyoglu and Cihangir.
