Siyah Pembe Üçgen

Siyah Pembe Üçgen (Black Pink Triangle) is an İzmir LGBTI+ rights association that has been active since the mid-2000s and is based in the Alsancak area of Konak. It works on rights advocacy, documenting discrimination, publishing and community events, and it has been closely involved with İzmir Pride. In recent years Pride marches in Turkish cities have been banned by local governors and police have detained participants, so check the association's social media for the current situation before planning around any event. If you run into trouble that's specific to being LGBTQ+, it's one of the local groups to contact. We have no street address on file.
