Churchills is a traditional pub at 83-85 Topping Street, in the old Criterion Hotel building just east of the town centre. It isn't a gay bar, but Travel Gay lists it as a gay-friendly pub that draws older gay men and women, and it runs karaoke, bingo and poker nights. Google lists it as open 10:00-23:00 Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday, with 4.4 from about 730 reviews. It's a cheap, unfussy stop before the ten-minute walk north to the Queen Street and Dickson Road bars.
