Gay Saunas in Cali
Unusually for a Colombian city of its size, Cali has a real gay bathhouse scene, with three dedicated men's saunas, all within easy reach of the Granada nightlife district.
Phisicus 21
The flagship. Set over several floors in Granada, around Avenida 3 Norte, Phisicus 21 offers a swimming pool, a dry sauna and Turkish-style steam rooms, a smoking terrace and a dark maze for cruising. It is the busiest and best known of the three, typically open from midday with extended weekend hours. Facilities are well used rather than luxurious, so expect a traditional bathhouse feel.
Metropolis Club de Hombres
In the north of the city near Versalles and the El Piloto sector, Metropolis is a men-only club with a dry sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, a small bar and occasional themed nights and video shows. It draws a friendly local crowd and makes a good mid-week option.
Cali Club (CaliClub Masculino)
In the La Alameda sector, Cali Club combines sauna facilities, a pool with a waterfall, a Finnish dry sauna, jacuzzi and private cabins, with a small discotheque and DJ nights, making it the most party-oriented of the three. Check current opening times locally before travelling.
Practical notes
All three are men-only cruise venues and are busiest in the afternoon and on weekends. Bring your own towel or rent one, use the lockers provided, and carry cash for entry. As anywhere, look after your belongings and your drink.
