Gay Cruising in Turin: The Honest 2026 Guide
Last verified: October 2026 · Compiled from venue checks and local and international sources from 2025–2026 · Report a change
Turin is a city of arcades. You can walk for kilometres under its portici without feeling the rain, from Piazza Castello down Via Po to the river, past old cafés where the ritual is a bicerin, a small glass of coffee, chocolate and cream in three layers, and where the evening aperitivo comes with a glass of vermouth, the drink this city gave the world. The Mole Antonelliana spikes above the rooftops, the Alps line the horizon on clear days, and the Po slides past the long green stretch of Parco del Valentino. Turin is elegant, reserved and a little private, and so is its cruising scene: no strip of cruise bars, just two men-only clubs with darkrooms and mazes behind their doors. That's where we'd send you.
Legal in one line: sex between men is legal in Italy, and same-sex civil unions have existed since 2016, though there's no full marriage. Saunas and cruise clubs operate legally as private members' clubs, which is why you'll need a membership card. Sex in a public place is not: since 2016 it has been an administrative offence with fines of €5,000 to €30,000, and a crime, with prison sentences, near places regularly frequented by minors.
The card you'll need: ARCO
Italian gay saunas and cruise clubs are private associations, so entry is for members. Older guides talk about the ANDDOS card; in 2026 the main national network is ARCO, and Turin's 011 Sauna Club belongs to it. ARCO offers several cards:
- AllClubs: all ARCO clubs in Italy, valid for one year.
- Young: the same, at a discount, for under-27s.
- Travel: for non-Italian citizens, valid for 90 days at ARCO clubs across Italy.
- OneClub: valid only at the club that issued it.
- a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath and a jacuzzi;
- three darkrooms, two mazes, glory holes and two slings;
- relax cabins, a video room and a snack and cocktail bar.
- Monday 14:00–20:30
- Tuesday to Thursday 14:00–22:00
- Friday 14:00–02:00
- Saturday 14:00–04:00
- Sunday 14:00–22:00
- a Finnish sauna, a steam room and a jacuzzi;
- a maze, private cabins, a glory wall and an adult cinema;
- a lounge bar, a smoking area and wi-fi.
- ID and cash: bring a passport or photo ID for the membership card, and some cash as a backup.
- Getting there: Garage Club is a short walk from Porta Nuova, Turin's main station and a stop on metro line 1. 011 Sauna Club is north of the centre in Aurora; GTT trams and buses run across the city. Aurora is a mixed, working-class district and some streets are poorly lit late at night, so after about 01:00 book a taxi back to your hotel, by phone or through Wetaxi, Turin's taxi app, rather than walking.
- Timing: weekdays both clubs are afternoon and evening venues. 011 stays open late only on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Lockers: leave your phone, wallet and keys in your locker before you head into the darkrooms.
- Consent: in the maze or the darkroom, a hand moved away means no. You can always say no, step away or leave.
- Health: Arcigay Torino "Ottavio Mai", Via Bernardino Lanino 3/a, offers sexual-health services and peer support from the CasArcobaleno centre; contact them about testing. During Pride 2026, Torino Fast Track City ran free HIV and syphilis testing in Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
- History: Turin was the birthplace of F.U.O.R.I., Italy's first gay rights movement, in 1971, and of the Lovers Film Festival, founded in 1986 by Ottavio Mai and Giovanni Minerba as "Da Sodoma a Hollywood".
- Tessera – membership card. Tessera Travel – ARCO's 90-day card for visitors.
- Ingresso – entry. Quanto costa? – how much is it?
- Armadietto – locker. Asciugamano – towel. Ciabatte – flip-flops.
- Labirinto – maze. Stanza buia – darkroom (most people just say "dark room").
- Bagno turco – steam room. Idromassaggio – jacuzzi.
- No, grazie – no, thanks. It works everywhere, and you can always leave.
- Portici – the arcades that line the centre's streets.
- Bicerin – coffee, chocolate and cream, Turin's own drink.
- Cerea – the old Piedmontese hello you might still hear.
Fees are set by each club, and not every club issues every type of card. One visitor reported being issued the Travel card at 011's door. Bring a passport or photo ID.
011 Sauna Club: the main event
011 Sauna Club, named after Turin's telephone code, is at Via Messina 5/D, in the Aurora district north of the centre. It's a men-only club in the basement of a former factory, given as about 700 m² by some sources and 800 m² by ARCO, with candlelit corners. It's a sauna, but for cruising this is the place that matters. According to ARCO, Travel Gay and misterb&b, you'll find:
Hours (as listed by ARCO in 2026; misterb&b gives the same):
Travel Gay shows different, longer hours, so if you're planning a late weekday visit, call first: +39 011 284263.
Price and card: ARCO membership is required. misterb&b puts entry at about €10–15, plus the card; reviewers on Travel Gay mention paying anything from €17 to €30 over the years, depending on the day. Check at the door.
When to go: Saturday night is the big one: Travel Gay lists a naked party on Saturdays after midnight, and a June 2026 reviewer on misterb&b said it's very busy on Saturday evenings. Another, in August 2026, praised its international atmosphere.
What visitors say: reviews from 2016 to 2025 are mixed. Some praise the staff and cleanliness; others mention a jacuzzi or Turkish bath out of order on their visit, or question the value. On GayOut it averages 3.9 from 166 Google reviews.
Garage Club: smaller and quieter
Garage Club, at Corso Stati Uniti 35, is a men-only sauna and cruising club just south of the centre, a short walk from Porta Nuova station, open since 2006. Directories list:
Theme nights: Travel Gay lists weekly naked/underwear, military and bear nights; misterb&b says the theme nights are mainly on Wednesdays and Fridays. Travel Gay and misterb&b also mention discounts for under-25s.
Hours and price: not published on the directories we checked. A Google reviewer quoted on GayOut paid €15 for a year's membership and €15 entry, and noted that the card runs for the calendar year, not 12 months from purchase. Garage Club is not on ARCO's club list, so expect its own membership. Contact the club before you go.
What visitors say: it's small. A June 2026 reviewer called it "very small" and not very interesting; an August 2026 reviewer preferred it to 011 because it's more intimate and calmer. On GayOut it averages 3.4 from 91 Google reviews. If you want a crowd, go to 011 on a Saturday; if you'd rather something low-key, try Garage.
Listings we couldn't confirm: misterb&b also lists an "XXX Cruising Bar" at Via Messina 5/D, the same address as 011 Sauna Club, with no description, hours or reviews; it appears to be the same premises rather than a separate venue. A "Tunnel Club" appears in the same directory, but we found no current details for it. We found no stand-alone cruise bar in Turin trading in 2026.
A drink first: Pausa Café
Pausa Café, at Lungo Dora Napoli 20 on the Dora river near the Porta Palazzo market, is listed by misterb&b as a gay bar and as the home of the city's queer Senzafronzoli nights; a June 2026 reviewer called it the only gay bar in the city and said it is liveliest on Friday (karaoke), Saturday and Sunday evenings. Hours aren't published, so check its social media. It's a bar for meeting people, not a cruise venue, and from there 011 in Aurora is a short taxi ride north.
Dancing first: Bananamia
Turin doesn't have a gay club with a darkroom that we could confirm, but it does have a long-running party. Bananamia, the Friday LGBTQ+ night, now runs at Nasty Club, Corso Massimo d'Azeglio 3, on the edge of Parco del Valentino. It's pop, dance and themed nights for a mixed crowd: in January 2026 a Stranger Things edition started at 23:30, with entry at €9 including a drink if you were on the list before 00:30 and €12 after. Check its listings on Xceed or social media for the week's theme. On other nights Nasty is a mainstream club.
Outdoors: why we don't send you to the Valentino
Parco del Valentino, the big riverside park south of the centre, has a long cruising history, and GayOut still lists it. We don't recommend it, and we don't give directions. In Italy, obscene acts in a public place (Art. 527 of the penal code) bring an administrative fine of €5,000 to €30,000. If it happens in or near places regularly frequented by minors, it becomes a crime punishable by four months to four years and six months in prison. The Valentino is a busy public park, and GayOut's own listing notes that it has been made brighter, cleared of undergrowth and patrolled more often. Dark, isolated corners are also where people get robbed. With two men-only clubs in town, there's no reason to take the risk. Enjoy the park by day: the riverside walk and the Borgo Medievale are lovely.
A Turin afternoon
Both clubs open at 14:00, so make an afternoon of it. Start with a bicerin at Caffè Al Bicerin, the tiny café facing the Consolata sanctuary that has been serving it since 1763 and where the drink is said to have been born, and a gianduiotto, the boat-shaped hazelnut chocolate. Walk the arcades of Via Po to Piazza Vittorio Veneto, cross the river and look back at the city from the Gran Madre, or ride the glass lift up the Mole Antonelliana, home of the National Cinema Museum. At 18:00, aperitivo: a cold red vermouth with a twist of orange, a few grissini and some Piedmontese cheese, in the arcades around Piazza Vittorio Veneto or in the wine bars of San Salvario, the lively, multicultural district south of Porta Nuova around Via Saluzzo and Largo Saluzzo. Then head for the sauna.
Practical tips
Torino Pride and EuroPride 2027
The 20th Torino Pride marched on Saturday 6 June 2026. Marchers gathered from 14:30 on Corso Massimo d'Azeglio by Parco del Valentino and walked via Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, Via Cernaia, Via Pietro Micca, Piazza Castello and Via Po to Piazza Vittorio Veneto, where Ambra Angiolini and the rapper Mc Nill were on stage. Domani reported more than 160,000 people. The official party was at Centralino Club, Via delle Rosine 16.
Next year is bigger: Coordinamento Torino Pride won the bid to host EuroPride 2027, which runs in Turin from 18 to 26 June 2027. Expect hotels to fill early, and both clubs to be at their busiest that week.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I go gay cruising in Turin?
Indoors, at the city's two men-only clubs. 011 Sauna Club, at Via Messina 5/D in the Aurora district, is the bigger one, with three darkrooms, two mazes, glory holes, slings and cabins as well as the saunas and jacuzzi. Garage Club, at Corso Stati Uniti 35 near Porta Nuova station, is smaller and more intimate, with a maze, cabins, a glory wall and a cinema. Turin has no dedicated stand-alone cruise bar that we could confirm in 2026.
Do I need an ARCO card for cruising in Turin?
Yes, at 011 Sauna Club, which is an ARCO member club and requires ARCO membership. Non-Italian citizens can take a Travel card valid for 90 days, and a reviewer reported it being issued at the door. Garage Club is not on ARCO's club list but also works as a private club with its own membership, so bring photo ID to both and ask at reception.
What are the opening hours of 011 Sauna Club in Turin?
ARCO lists 011 Sauna Club as open every day from 14:00: until 20:30 on Mondays, 22:00 from Tuesday to Thursday and on Sundays, 02:00 on Friday nights and 04:00 on Saturday nights. Saturday night is the busiest, with a naked party after midnight according to Travel Gay. Garage Club does not publish hours on the directories we checked, so contact it before you go.
Is Parco del Valentino still a gay cruising area?
It has a long cruising history, but we don't recommend it. Sex in a public place in Italy brings an administrative fine of €5,000 to €30,000, and up to four years and six months in prison near places regularly frequented by minors. The park is now better lit and more often patrolled, and Turin's two men-only clubs are legal, safer alternatives.
When is Torino Pride?
In early June. The 20th Torino Pride marched on Saturday 6 June 2026 from Parco del Valentino to Piazza Vittorio Veneto, with more than 160,000 people reported. In 2027 Turin hosts EuroPride, from 18 to 26 June 2027.
